Tuesday November 17th NBA Preview and Results from Monday Night by Andrew Martin
The NBA has 5 games going tonight and some of these games are worth a look tonight. Let’s look at my Key Three Matchups for tonight.
Key Three Matchups
Raptors (7-2) vs. Cavaliers (8-1): This is a game that will be highly competitive. Both teams are doing the same thing they did last year it seems like. The Raptors have DeMar DeRozan who is the NBA’s leading scorer so far this year with 34 points per game! Also, they have Kyle Lowry and Jonas Valanciunas who are putting up good numbers this season too. The Cavaliers have LeBron James who is still looking like he could be in the MVP race this year with his almost-triple-double average. This could be a close one, but the Cavs have the home field advantage and crushed the Raptors last season in the playoffs, so I am going with them tonight over the Raptors.
My pick: Cavs -1
Bulls (6-4) vs. Trail Blazers (7-4): These teams have also been off to good starts and both have very good players that may make the game a little more controversial. The Bulls have Jimmy Butler and Dwayne Wade and the Trail Blazers have Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum. I think that even though the Bulls will be without Rajon Rondo in this game, they will still pull out the win tonight.
My pick: Bulls -2
Hornets (6-3) vs. Timberwolves (3-6): One of these teams outclassed their last opponent and the other lost a tough game. The Timberwolves had an amazing game against the Lakers where Andrew Wiggins had over 40 points and they were not slowing down and I think they will continue this tonight.
My pick: Timberwolves -4
Results From Monday
Yesterday, I predicted that the Pistons would lose to the Thunder by 7 points and that did not happen. The Pistons won 104-88 with 22 points from Tobias Harris. Russell Westbrook also had 31 points for the Thunder. Also, I said that the Clippers would kill the Nets by 15 points. The Clippers won 127-95 with Chris Paul having 21 of those points. Finally, I said that the Pacers would beat the Magic by 2 in a close game. The Pacers won 88-69 with Jeff Teague having 11points as the leading scorer.
