Riders Suffer Tough Loss In State Semifinals by Camdyn Ames
On Saturday afternoon the Ichabod Crane Varsity Soccer team suffered a tough loss to Hastings, 2-1. The Riders started off slow, but picked it back up with a goal by Anthony Carlucci with 15:35 remaining in the first half. Shortly after Hastings struck back with a goal at 13:34. The Riders couldn't pick themselves up after allowing another goal in the second half with 16:43 remaining. The Riders finished their season with a 18-3-1 record. Hastings will play for the Class B state championship game at 3:00 p.m. in Middletown against Westhill.
