Cubs Force A Decisive Game Seven by Camdyn Ames
On Tuesday night The Chicago Cubs battled the Cleveland Indians for Game 6 of the 2016 World Series. If the Cubs win they force a game 7 but if the Indians win they take it all. The Cubs defeated the Indians 9-3 on an extraordinary offensive performance from Kris Bryant. Bryant finished 4 for 5 with 1 RBI, 2 runs scored, and he also hit a home run to start off the game. Chicago scored 3 in the first inning to jump out to an early lead. Later in the third inning Addison Russel hit a grand slam to extend the lead to 7-0 and break the game open. Mike Napoli of the Indians drove in a run in the fourth, Jason Kipinis smacked a homer in the fifth and Roberto Perez had an RBI single in the ninth to soften the blow, but all that wasn't enough. Game seven will be played on Wednesday, November 2nd at 8:00 p.m. on FOX. Starting pitchers will be Kyle Hendricks for the Cubs and ace Corey Kluber for the home team Indians.
