Sounders Net Late, Impact Dominate … MLS Knockout Round Day 2 Recap by Jake Martino
Seattle 1 Sporting KC 0
Seattle- The night belonged to Nelson Valdez of the Sounders. He entered the game in the 79th minute and scored off a header in the 88th minute to give the Sounders a one goal lead over Sporting KC. This was his first goal since exactly one calendar year ago. The Sounders have delt with numerous injures over the season and that one goal took a little pressure off of their shoulders. KC had the best chances earlier in the game when it was an uncontested shot from midfielder Paulo Nagamura in the ninth minute.
Seattle will take on FC Dallas in the next round on Sunday October 30th at 9:30PM on FS1.

Montreal 4 DC 2
DC- It was a great night be an Impact fan on Thursday night as they upset the #4 Seed DC United. The scoring started early when Ciman broke free to score off of a corner. DC United during the regular season had been one of the hottest teams coming in but failed to generate looks at goal. Their only 2 goals came in the 90-94+ minutes but by then Montreal had a 4 goals on the board and it was out of reach for DC.
Up next for Montreal, they will go home and play against the #1 Seed in the East, the New York Red Bulls. That game on Sunday October 30th @3PM on ESPN.
