Cubs Tie Series At 1 by Camdyn Ames


On Wednesday night the Cubs struck back in the World Series defeating the Cleveland Indians 5-1 to even up the series 1-1. Jake Arrieta was on the bump for the Cubs and he had a tremendous game going 5.2 innings allowing just 2 hits, 1 earned run, while striking out 6. Kyle Schwarber showed up at the plate going 2 for 4 with 2 RBI and a run scored. The Indians pitching was not as good. Trevor Bauer went 3.2 innings allowing 6 hits, 2 earned runs, 2 walks and only struck out 2. Their offense was not good either, not getting a hit until the 5th inning. They only managed 4 hits in the end. Mike Napoli had 2 hits, Jason Kipinis had 1 hit, and Brandon Guyer had another hit. Game 3 will head to Chicago on Friday, October 28th at 8:00 p.m.on FOX. Starting pitchers will be a Josh Tomlin for the Indians, and Kyle Hendricks for the Cubs.
