Indians, Blue Jays ALCS Recap by Camdyn Ames
On Wednesday night the Cleveland Indians clinched their spot in the World Series, their first time in the World Series in 19 years and the last time they won was 62 years ago. Game 1 started in Cleveland and the Tribe took it 2-0 behind a well pitched game from ace Corey Kluber who went 6.1 innings allowing just 6 hits while striking out 6. Game 2 was in Cleveland again. The Indians took this game as well, 2-1. Game 3 headed up north to Toronto where Cleveland stole the third game 4-2 to go up 3-0 in the series. Toronto finally woke up in Game 4 taking it 5-1 as Ezequiel Carrera led the offense going 2 for 4 with an RBI, and a run scored. Game 5 stayed in Toronto, but the home field advantage wasn't enough for the Jays as they lost 3-0. Cleveland will host Game 1 against the winner of the Los Angeles Dodgers and Chicago Cubs NLCS series. Game 1 of the World Series will be Tuesday, October 25th on FOX.
