Nationals Offense Came Alive and Took Game 3 by Jared McCabe
The Washington Nationals went into Dodger Stadium and won a huge game over the Dodgers 8-3. The offense came alive, led by Anthony Rendon’s two-run homerun that finished off a rally in the third. Later in the ninth inning Jayson Werth started the inning with a solo shot that later led to another four-run inning. For the Dodgers, Corey Seager continued his first inning power by hitting an RBI Double and Dodgers catcher Carlos Ruiz hit a pinch-hit two-run homerun to cut the lead to one before the Nationals broke the game wide open in the top of the ninth scoring four. Kenta Maeda only lasted three innings, while Gio Gonzalez lasted 4.1 innings. The Nationals hope to end the series tomorrow afternoon, while the Dodgers hope to keep their season alive by sending rookie pitcher Julio Urias to the mound. First pitch is around 5:00pm.
