Giants Win Thriller Game 3 by Jake Martino
This had to have been the game to watch on Monday night between the Cubs and the Giants. This was a late game that started at 9:40 but boy, was it sure worth watching.
It all began in the third inning when the Cubs jumped out to a 3-0 on the PITCHER Jake Arrieta’s homerun off of ace Madison Bumgarner. All things were the same until the 8th when the Cubs brought in stud Aroldis Chapman looking for a six-out save. Then Conor Gillaspie started a 3-run inning with a 2 run triple to go up 5-3. The Cubs tied it in the ninth when Kris Bryant jacked a two-run shot off of closer Sergio Romo. Then in the 13th inning, Joe Panik doubled off the wall in right-center allowing Crawford to score the winning run.
Game 4 is 8:30 Tuesday in San Fran with Matt Moore going for the Giants against Chicago’s John Lackey.
