Remembering Jose Fernandez (1992-2016) by Austin Walsh
Jose Fernandez died late Saturday night from a fatal boat accident. The Marlins’ ace pitcher was only 24. He was out with his friends at night and the boat crashed into rocks at a high speed. He flew from the boat and died on impact. The pitcher was a rising star in the MLB with a 2.58 ERA. Jose was expected to start the game on Sunday. The game was cancelled in honor of him and the Fernandez family. He wasn't even able to hit his prime before this fatal death. Think about the records that were to be broken, the fans to meet, the memories to make, the fun to have , and the time to do it all that he lost on that day. All the good that could've came out of him not just for the game of baseball but beyond that and into our society. Jose Fernandez will be missed greatly by all.
